Conversation English is stressed along with the development of writing skills.  Spelling tests are held weekly to improve and introduce new vocabulary.  The courses cover the principles of standard English grammar, sentence structure, and English usage and diction. Depending on grade, advanced elements will be introduced covering parts of the speech, verb forms and tenses, fragments, run-ons, and other issues in standard grammar usage. Students will also learn to identify errors and correct them.

All Reidmount core English courses will help students to develop the advanced reading and writing skills that they need to succeed academically
